Early school leaving (ESL) results from a combination of personal, social, economic, educational and family-related factors that have severe consequences to economy and society. European countries must initiate possible solutions to combat ESL at policy level but there is a desperate need for practical help also at the local and school levels. The ESLplus Partnership is committed to giving immediate pratcial help to the desperate need in the frontline, and professionalization of the combat against ESL. The European Learning Space on Early School Leaving (ESLplus Portal) is constructed under the ESLplus project, funded by the European Commission. The portal offers a wide variance of the learning opportunities and professional resources. We invite experts and professionals to join us and build the learning space together. The common goal is to enable students to complete their secondary studies successfully. A great deal of specialised knowledge and expertise has been accumulated on tackling early school leaving and preventing dropout, therefore it is our shared responsibility to work together to safeguard students at risk.
